  • Sweetly scented white or pink flowers
  • Common herbal medicine from roots for sedation and anxiety
  • Attractant for cats and rates

The Problem

  • Prolific seeder and can also spread vegetatively by short above ground stolons
  • Can tolerate moderate shading and a wide variety of soil moistures from upland to riparian areas and is capable of dominating certain habitats

Distribution

  • Found along Roadsiders and thickets particularly in the Sackville area
  • Naturalized throughout most of Canada and the northern USA
